New products often come about from old products. Old products contain out-dated ideas whereas new products utilized new and more logical ones. People have said buy the new product because it's something different instead of buying just one. Other's say because they use new ideas. However a handful likes to stick with old products. What should be the reason we buy from a merchandise?

How much improvement is given at the cost difference for a newer version? & how important are the improvements to you.

For example, I enjoy watching high definition movies at home and my NFL games in HD. So, if it were a $200 different for a newer TV that has a better resolution & extra features, then yes. Because I feel that it is important to me to have the extra pixels or whatever.

To spend a few hundred dollars to upgrade from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5 would be ridiculous to me. iOS will always be the same from generation to generation. In terms of hardware, nice to have, but not worth the money.

Some older products have good quality all time, and all season. That they've already gained the trust of consumers proving that those products are reliable and with good value, as being tried over time. But the competing brands pop out simultaneously in the market. So they need to create in order to produce more other brands applying something newer or unique accordingly to the demand. Then to raise up or improve the quality of the brand to match up with the timely trend, and other competitors.

Wishing you well..!

You buy something because it works...

There are many "old" products which have

not changed because they work, I use several

products decades old because they do what they say.
