I'm upset. It has been weeks, when I think about this, I just feel down and sad.

I missed the opportunity to study in another country by just 10 marks for a particular subject. I really wanted to go this year instead of next year. I can't do anything but to accept this. Maybe it was my lack of preparation, procrastination, bad study habits etc that cost these 10 marks. It was really painful. This failure is just unacceptable. I just wish I had really taken my opportunity and I could be in that city now. There's next year. One more year, it's just hard to pass without thinking of the past.

What can I do? How do you deal with a missed opportunity?

If I were you, I'd be upset too. But because you can't do anything about it now, look at what opportunities you have here. The time you have here gives you a chance to meet new people, go do things you've never done, etc.

Sitting at home wallowing will just make you feel worse. The more I went out and tried new things, the more I had my missed opportunity off my mind. Who knows, later on you might be glad that you missed your chance studying abroad.

Opportunities are everywhere everytime.

There question is whether you take them or not!
