Question:
are they not one and the same?

The more one contemplates about the nature of the universe and its awesome manifestation one is irretrievably led to an inevitable conclusion; and that is , that the Cosmic TIME and ,the human mind, in its prestine state, are one and the same. I am not talking of the mind caught up in its daily mundane operat ions , and which, by its very nature , engenders overt behaviour. There seems to be an area which lies beyond the confines of Scientic Knowledge. Some people call this "Supermind", a mind that exists all by itself and is easily identified with the energy that made the unverse manifest itself.

Please comment on this way of thinking; no frivolous answers please. Many thanks.

There is only one thing. The illusion of multiplicity in the cosmos is the riddle to be solved. The solving of this riddle leads to what certain religions may call one's salvation. Other religions/philosphies call it enlightenment. To realise the difference between knowledge and understanding is difficult but is possible. In fact, the only way to fail is to give up seeking the answer.

Many sages have pointed the way throughout the centuries. The fact that they are often misunderstood is due to the fact that the human condition naturally assumes that the separated individuality we refer to as I is a real thing. Keep thinking along the lines you are but try to overcome the temptation to think in dual terms such as I and Not I. You are everything and everything is you and this one thing to which I refer is nothing other than what some religions refer to as God.

"one is irretrievably led to an inevitable conclusion". Well ig this is such an inevitable conclusion where are your hard facts and evidence.

Please give detailed reasoning about how you came to this conclusion. What I often find with "spiritual" takes on reality, is that if people are questioned in detail, even THEY don't know what they're talking about.

I've had two friends say "There's something else out there".

To which I say:

1) Please define "something" in detail.

2) Please define "out there" in detail.

They can't give me any indication of what they mean. So it's just part of their ego wanting things to be super-special. I've never had anyone answer this questions 1) or 2). Which is quite telling, to the fact they are talking nonsense.

I hope you aren't offended. I too went through this spiritual obsession. This process is known as spiritual materialism. It is where we become obsessed with things needing to be special. It's a normal part of the human ego to desire this.

If you could clearly state your reasoning step by step, I could then comment on each step. But at the moment your "idea", is very wishy-washy, although I know that's not your intention.

I look forward to a detailed account of what you mean :)

The question if i am right is is there out there a higher intelligence that governs are thinking, and reveals it's self in all around us.The mind I believe is part of God in as much as are being is from God,But are bodies come from the earth therefore we are governed by two forces. The mind,or soul, what ever we call it is obviously higher than the rest of our nature, which is carnal and tends toward animal instinct. We can of course let this part govern our thinking or contemplate, with the higher side, the God side.In contemplation we discover the higher laws, the Part of our nature that makes us curious is not to say God" will, as he made us to be like children with out knowledge. I do not see this as a bad thing, since children who are loved and cared for are perfectly happy. The soul I think knew God before entering into the body, therefore it is fair to assume it can reach out to see God in all his works, and identify his handy work.

One doesn't contemplate about, one thinks. I think you have misunderstood the nature of consciousness both individual and collective.

btw ...daily mundane operations which by its very nature engenders overt behaviour' mixes plural with singular, includes punctuation where none is needed and makes no sense.

Thow out the long words because you are only revealing the depth of your ignorance.

The debate is a good one but you need to re-read the propositions concerned.

This way of thinking is total nonsense! Try looking at the evidence around you, and use Google to search for and learn something about current thinking on the nature of the physical universe. Look up the CERN project. Educate yourself. Human beings tell stories and fantasise about all nature of things, they dream. Your thinking is no more than that.

I believe humans differ from animals in the fact that they often tend to over analyze, well, just about everything. The universe is what it is. And the secret of life is 1+1. Not all that complicated to me.

they could be one and the same, if one contemplates long enough, but, then when one contemplates for to long nature, the universe, cosmic time and the mind state passes one by, so it would be beneficial to one, if one alighted into the real world and lived a real life instead of contemplating. lol

the mind and time is consciousness apprehended by pure awareness. awareness is beyond time and all it's goemetricities. pay attention and you will notice that awareness never changes. how can the changeless be the product of the ever-changing flow of matter/time? seems impossible.

I think that is a long shot to conclude. you forget that we are part of the universe so it could be said that we are one with the universe and everything therein

gobbledegook. but, i've travelled the universe, got covered in cosmic dust, took my watch, and conclude on my return by stating my intelligence is not harmed by your pre-recorded rubbish.

whoops! what have we done?

whoever is sitting waiting for this.
