Can the impossible ever be possible?

for example you think of something that you would love to happen in your life ..something that would make you so happy and you think to yourself ..it's impossible ..but could it be possible ? if you know what i mean.

well if we guess that something is impossible...and it turns out to be possible...then we were wrong in our definition of it being impossible...



so if you think something is impossible...and it becomes possible...it's not that something that was impossible because possible...but rather the mistake was in the definition of it being impossible to begin with...



i mean something that's been accomplished really isn't impossible now is it???

Things are either possible or not, they can only seem to us to be impossible, it makes no difference how they seem, the truth is the truth weather we are aware of it at the time or not.

A great many things that seem impossible are really only improbable, which is the same as saying they are possible. But all of this is only to do with our perception of these things from our point of view, and doesn't change what ever the truth is, things are, or they are not, there is no possible or impossible. Having said all of that, people can almost always achieve more than they think and if you want something badly enough, you can probably find a way.

I'll go with Mitchell, nothing is impossible, but certain things are improbable. Ultimately, who decides to tag something as possible/impossible? A Human being. Hence the discussion of whether something is possible or not is driven by prejudices and human knowledge neither of which are perfect in the absolute perspective. Same applies to science too.

Can you travel faster than the speed of light? Impossible, is the most likely answer. But no scientist, I believe can swear his life on it. just an example.

The short answer is it could.I'm trying to guess what you might mean and maybe it's something very ordinary like loose weight, attract someone into your life or make a lot of money.Strangely, these things may be more impossible than a man on Mars because we may one day put a man an Mars but you may never achieve the above.But, I've learned that much in life is perception ie the difficulty may be in your mind and that what you want may come down to how much you really want it and what you will do to get it - within reason of course! Not knowing your situation I think your chances are better than you think, maybe a lot better - go for it!

Believe its possible, and to you it will be, and as long as its possible to you, no one can tell you otherwise, because by that point, you know its possible, so any other reason is illogical, you only live once, let everything be possible, in your mind or not. Teach yourself to be able to believe in the impossible, as long as you can come back to reality, that'd be great. Our minds are capable of bringing our dreams into our lifes, so we see the impossible, its ashame its our default position in society to see this as wrong, everyone would be happy if we saw our dreams, but then again, im dreaming, that could be dangerous, unless you believe it isnt

Impossible is only in someone's mind. Anything can be achieved if you put your mind to it....unless you're talking about some concrete physical impossibility like a 50lb child lifting 2 tons of steel. Maybe in the future it could be possible but at the moment, it's "probably" impossible.
