Does anyone wish that life was simpler?

So much to worry about in the world today: social situations, fitting in, getting a girlfriend etc.
Does anyone wish that some sort of disaster would happen and all we had to worry about is staying alive? Harsher but so much more simple... what are your views?

I really wish life was simpler and disaster has already struck many times in my family but a natural disaster to wake up the world? I don't think so. I do believe what the red hot chili peppers say ("destruction leads to a very rough road but it also breathes creation"-- californiacation) but I don't think that it would be right to kill so many people (which face it a natural disaster does) in order to gain simplicity in our life styles. but that's just my opinion.

Sometimes yes. I've heard that the amount of information a person living just two hundred years ago would accumulate over their entire life time is the equivalent amount of information that you would find in a large Sunday newspaper. I think a lot of people feel this way as the digital age of information may have come about too fast and we as a species can't really cope with having the size of daily intake of data and information triple every decade as it does now. But I only feel that way when life feels a bit much, if we did just live on a day to day basis then we would never consider the greater things in life, never have time to make artwork or music and despite living in the wilderness, never truly appreciate the world around us, you'd be too busy surviving and as a species we're smarter than that, look at what we've accomplished over the last 50 years. In a hunter gatherer society there would be no quantum theory or micro-chip, no Da Vinci or Shakespeare and in my opinion all these things and the greater things that will come still are worth the odd moment of feeling overwhelmed by civilization. In fact, I see it as a good thing. When human life feels too complex for the humans living it then you know that we've surpassed ourselves as a species which can only be a good thing.

Life is simple if you make it so.

Girls like cars so get one. People like people who say nice things and listen, so do what people like.

People like money so learn how to get rich or learn how to fake it. Learn how to count cards at casinos, or study the stock market.

If you want lady friends join a club or interest with an oversupply of women. Join a Netball, sewing or Ballroom dancing club. If you take up Balet you will likely be the only non-gay guy available.

-----------

My real advice would be to find something you like and do it. Chances are you will get good at it and meet friends who appreciate your passion. Girls will come to you. It is really the girls who do the chasing anyway they just pretend to be the ones being chased.

Life is simple. Don't complicate it with too many questions.

Yes I dream of a world where I am the only man alive and have to service all the women of the planet. And we all live in the trees like Tarzan.

My real world is close enough to ideal anyway. There is an excess of single women in Brisbane and I ccouldn't be bothered playing Casonova.

Well, i dont wish that a big disaster would happen, in case my loved ones got killed. However, i myself do wish life wasn't so much like a rollercoaster,,, everytime things start to look up, something always seems to happen afterwards to kick you back down. I suppose we just have to take the rough with the smooth. The only way i try and explain to myself about having the "downs", is that if we never had any bad stuff to put up with,, would we really appreciate the good stuff?

I really wish life is indeed simple. But it seems life as we faced it becomes more complex. This is much attributed to the very vast human knowledge had reached. Unlike the past era, life indeed was so simple......... However, would it be possible for us to communicate though the internet if life is simple?

Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

Life is simple.

Why worry about the rat race, because even if you win the rat race you are still a rat. (My brother gave me this one)

I don't worry about the world's expectations. I have my own expectations and I have taught myself the patience to achieve them.

In this fast moving world you can move in slow motion. You must not focus on the outside world, but the world within. If you are positive then positive things will happen.

If life was simpler would it have a sence. would it be interesting if there were not wars, hunger, deseases, poverty, guns. thsi world (planet earht in this meaning) has been existing for more than 6 billion years and it has neven been "simpler" to any of the creatures who lived it.

i believe that everyone in this world had once wished that life should be sipmlier... but then i realize that if life is simple then it would be boring and pathetic. the ups and downs we experienced in our lives made us the very person whom we are today. life isn't worth living if it is simple.

life is simple if u choose to see it in this perspective , but we all tend to see life as a complicated problem cause we love to feel like we are the victim ! witch we are not , and life is more then getting a girlfriend OR trying to fit in ! its u trying to rediscover Ur self , to reinvent Ur self ..

Yes, and I'm waiting on somebody to invent a time travel machine so that I can go back to 1967.

Why would adding to a problem make it better????

Why not hope things just get better?
