The alien (as in extra terrestrial) super speed spaceship fallacy?

Question

How does a person go from the notion of super speed technology on an alien, if we suppose aliens exist (and from enough distance to arguably need super speed technology), space ship, and also presume their life spans necessitated such an invention, to presuming aliens have super weapons, a million ships, and can manipulate any number of physical laws?

For b to follow a in this case, b must be inherently derived from a. A giant lasor cannon might be advanced by super speed technology, but it's not a consequences necessitated by super speed design, but that design would necessitate the need for structural rigidity and heat and friction resistance; any number of things needed to prevent damage due to the tremendous forces placed on an object moving at high speed.

The only apparent thing shared with super speed and the cannon is that would both need advanced ability and knowledge.

Am I wrong?

Just one thing you over looked..with true (advanced) intelligence comes non aggressive, nonviolent, compassionate behavior. That is..part of intelligence...Therefore there are NO "super weapons"

Yes, but don't let that stop you from thinking. Space is very nearly empty, so there is very little friction even at speeds approaching c. A propulsion device capable of reaching such speeds would use a very lightweight propellant at a high velocity (such as an ion drive). The acceleration would be comparitively low, so there would not be much stress on the ship.

You can either choice to think what happens in the bible is supernatural, or scientific.

I believe that what people are seeing is science in the bible.

That the wheels that Ezekiel See's are more then just wheel's.

That the chariot of fire is much more then something so unexplainable.

OK.. first of all.. why would an alien race come to our planet?...



they might come here because they know we exist (having heard our radio broadcast of the Germany Olympic games for example)...



If they are coming here to visit with us... they might not know what we are like because all they know about us is from tv and radio broadcasts...



if they watch all of our tv and listen to our radio... they probably WOULD develop weapons to destroy us before they got here to clean the universe of our existence!!!



or... they would be singing 60's songs and wanting to dance on the beaches here...
