How to end world hunger? And control Human population.?

So here is how it goes. the Western part of the U.S. is the worlds main food source, more or less. But yet governments pay farmers not to farm. To keep food prices high (crappy right?) Why not even let the farmers farm and send the excess food to countries. Or even to people here in the states! or maybe instead of sending food to Africa send grains/seeds and build water wells. It is a start. Any positive and effective way to end this world crisis.

Now to the World population why not have a population 1 child per parent rule (twins and such are okay this cannot be chosen to have multiple children at birth) Wouldn't this ease the earth and keep food supply higher? I see allot of people excited to have a child but in real life thinking It is not good. I will not be having a child due to the population explosion in the recent years. With time this rule would slowly ease down world population effectively and peacefully.

Its just a thought I would like you input on these matters.

You are very right. There is an over population problem, and it will lead to starvation at unimaginable levels. However many people are not logical so they will continue having children. China actually made a one child law, this upset a lot of people. You would just have to find a way to convince them that limiting births is a wise decision for the survival of the human race.

who knows how we will figure that problem out. i think maybe better birth control with government subsidized neutering and spaying of humans who wish to have that done will take care of the over population issue.

the world hunger issue would be lessened if we could more effectively use the food that we do produce. think of all the food that is wasted because it gets spoiled or even is just not wanted. thousands of tons of food gets trashed every day across the world. that is a waste that should be addressed. i remember at camp they did this thing where you didn't take more than you could eat and they actually weighed the scraps after each meal. it was a the goal that there was no scraps at all.

I don't think there's any practical political solution.



You could probably accomplish a lot with an engineered cold virus that, as a side effect, irreversibly sterilized anyone who contracted it, so that in time in vitro fertilization would remain the only practical means of human reproduction.



But some namby pamby do gooders would probably object to a sensible plan like that.

The vast majority of the world's diet is based on rice which is not a Western US major product. Russia grows more wheat and even Africa produces nearly as much grain.



Your US-centric thinking messes up your whole idea. In China many rural districts have 6 males to every 1 female because they were only allowed TWO children so they killed all the girl babies. In all westernized nations population growth has sunk below sustainability because of plastics messing up our reproductive systems. When 99% of the planet is South Asian, the Indian way of life will rule the Earth. Why would they want to conform to your idea instead of dominating?



Western society is KILLING itself and you want to apply western rules to the orient. Get a grip man, we are well past the point of a eugenics solution. They have just invented a form of rice that can grow in warmer and colder climates than before. I'd suggest you start growing rice.



[PS: The South Asian people I know are not practicing temperance, patience or non-materialism. Great philosophy there for the future underclasses Dr. Girishkumar TS, but I doubt you will be following it yourself. ]

Yeah I guess that kinda makes sense. Though I don't believe that you can take the right away from people to have children unless COMPLETELY necessary.

And private farmers COULD send food, they just choose not too.

So you can't get everyone to agree on your ideas. There's a whole world of people, and you can't just change their minds. It doesn't work like that. Sorry.

the fast answer is not any. there'll continually be poverty and starvation at some ranges. there'll continually be wars. a worldwide government is only no longer waiting to resign it. it somewhat is only the character of persons.

We need to stop being happy when bad people breed... Teenagers, addicts, the mentally ill, people that know they have bad genetics...



Personally, I'll never breed because I know that mental illness and addiction run on my mother's side of the family and bad joints run on my father's... I've needed a hip replacement since I was 10 and now, at age 30, from using crutches my whole life, my shoulder on that side is starting to hurt all the time too...



We FIGHT to keep kids with their crack whore mom and say that it is her right to crap out kid number 8 rather than worry about the quality of life of the kids that already exist.



We can't put a note in her kid's file saying "WATCH THEM!" because we know that kids with abusive parents grow up to have mental, addiction, and social problems... That's "Racist" or some such nonsense... So instead of getting her kids on contraception early and getting them therapy and extra help at school, we toss them back to abusive mommy and tell them that their sh*tty future is their own fault, not the fault of their bad genes, bad upbringing, and refusal for our country to treat them for their trauma.



My father got mad at me for commenting on how a friend of the family is having to put their early 20's daughter into rehab for heroin, again, and I asked "So, which of the parents is the addict?" and he answered "Well... Both of them..." and I responded with "Jesus... How selfish must you be to have two addicts hook up and crap out a kid and then not expect it to grow up to be just a MESS!"



"How dare you judge them!" was my father's answer...



How dare I judge them? They both have addiction and mental health problems and rather than thinking about what they would do to their kids when they had them, they decided to be selfish and carry the pregnancy to term, mind-rape the kid by raising it in a home full of untreated addiction, then act surprised when she comes home with a needle in her arm.



We should PUNISH people for breeding... Not congratulate them... We KNOW how their kid will turn out... Yet it is "Acting like Hitler" to shake your head in pity when they grow up following a predictable pattern of addiction and mental illness.
