WINNERS VERSUS LOSERS !!!?

The Winner is always part of the answer;
The Loser is always part of the problem.

The Winner always has a program;
The Loser always has an excuse.

The Winner says, "Let me do it for you";
The Loser says, "That is not my job."

The Winner sees an answer for every problem;
The Loser sees a problem for every answer.

The Winner says, "It may be difficult but it is possible";
The Loser says, "It may be possible but it is too difficult."

When a Winner makes a mistake, he says, "I was wrong";
When a Loser makes a mistake, he says, "It wasn't my fault."

A Winner makes commitments;
A Loser makes promises.

Winners have dreams;
Losers have schemes.

Winners say, "I must do something";
Losers say, "Something must be done."

Winners are a part of the team;
Losers are apart from the team.

Winners see the gain;
Losers see the pain.

Winners see possibilities;
Losers see problems.

Winners believe in win-win;
Losers believe for them to win someone has to lose.

Winners see the potential;
Losers see the past.

Winners are like a thermostat;
Losers are like thermometers.

Winners choose what they say;
Losers say what they choose.

Winners use hard arguments but soft words;
Losers use soft arguments but hard words.

Winners stand firm on values but compromise on petty things;
Losers stand firm on petty things but compromise on values.

Winners follow the philosophy of empathy: "Don't do to others what you would not
want them to do to you";
Losers follow the philosophy, "Do it to others before they do it to you."

Winners make it happen;
Losers let it happen.

Winners plan and prepare to win.
The key word is preparation.

i have been reading this and found it very interesting and true.but i have been getting a feeling in my mind ,is life all about winning and losing ?is it right to say that only losers see pain?what kind of losses are discussed here?material?sometimes a person may appear to have lost but emerges a winner.sometimes a winner who appears to have won loses lot in his life.how do we give our life a perfect balance.are successes and failures permanent?aren't they temporary.a winner in a situation may be a loser in another.but usually his attitude remains more or less the same.so isn't it some external force above our attitude that decides our success and failure?
people with sarcastic answers please stay away,thank you !! i don't need them.
sincere answers are appreciated.
thank you.

Winning N Losing Are Both A State Of Mind

N Of Course They Both Have Their Standards Or Criterion Or Scale In Everything

Yes Pramila, Life Is About Living It. In The End Its Up To You Who Lived A Life That Consider Yourself A Winner Or A Loser

N Even If You Split Life Into Parts Or If You Separate Your Goals, Every Beginning Of It Has An End That Goes In The Same Cycle.

N As A Matter Of Fact Yes, If You See Through The Patterns Of Someones Life That You Think Out Him Or Her As A Winner, The Sentences Above Are So Obvious N Maybe The Ones Who Considers As Loser The Same

Its Not About Making These Sentences A Rule N Start Judging People By Them That I Think This Particular Opinion Bothered You :)

But Its About Dismissing The Words Winner N Loser At The Beginning N Start To See Life Through The Rest.

By The Way I Loved Them A Lot :D Thank You :)

There is no absolute in life. Life's failures should never be taken too seriously, they should be used as a learning experience only,as a guideline to use in the next similar incident. We put too much emphasis on always winning. It causes undo stress in our lives that we sometimes have trouble handling.

I knew of a group of small boys that played baseball years ago, these boys could only win a ballgame if the other team stayed home. They did not have the skills yet in which to compete but they played and we did not let them ever consider themselves as losers. We had the best season ever and didn't win a game.

We could consider the losing team as losers but it is non-productive in development. It is good to have philosophies and ideas but we also need to abandon strict list and live life as it comes to us, one day at a time and not keep to close a score on our failures. We only have one chance and it should be with the least pressure possible and the most enjoyment. Hope this helps.

You should have given link to the article or who wrote it. I am just answering because you said article was Hindu and I am Hindu. Why popular people fade? because they got occupied by over confidence and didn't do right things they were supposed to do(maybe insulted friends, maybe didn't save money, ). So in a way they were winner then after over confidence taking their possession they became losers. They faded because they became loser. They would have not faded if they would have done things right even after getting fame(Winning after winning). You have struggle on every step of life and you can't say now I won that's all no next step is also battle. there are people who are winner and are doing right things even when they are old e.q. Warren Buffet, Hillary Clinton, Indra Noori

I am sorry to say I don't go for that stuff.

I believe that to divide people into winners or losers is not only wrong but unreal.

People do not all have the same opportunities and are not all born with the same mental and physical capacity.

We all belong sometimes to one or the other category during our lives ,because there are we just need to let "it happen" for the good of the ones we love or want to help.

The Winners as described above seem to me as a bunch of heartless,egoistic maniacs who have little thought for the world and the people around them.

I have a Ph.D. and a B.A come from a well to do family,teach in two Universities but don't think of myself as either. I was lucky and have worked hard to get here,some other people out there could probably do the same if they were given but half the chance.

What an interesting question dear. I think there are no losers or winners. Its just our state of mind. We are all born equal. It is us, who, for our own satisfaction , ego boosting etc. label others with terms such as losers etc. and our ownselves as winners . Anyways, thinking on that note, even if I am a bloody loser and Mr. XYZ is a winner, how does it matter on this earth or on this universe ... ???? Does the sun care about whos the winner / loser... on whom he should shower his sunrays... does the moon think twice before the same job , do the stars do so before twinkling .... who does ??? we are winners or losers for only people who we think matter to us.. they are on the same freequency as we are !!!

When a winner makes a mistake, he says, “I was wrong;”

When a loser makes a mistake, he says, “It wasn’t my fault.”

A winner works harder than a loser and has more time;

A loser is always “too busy” to do what is necessary.

A winner goes through a problem;

A loser goes around it, and never gets past it.

A winner makes commitments;

A loser makes promises.

A winner says, “I’m good, but not as good as I ought to be;”

A loser says, “I’m not as bad as a lot of other people.”

A winner listens;

A loser just waits until it’s his turn to talk.

A winner respects those who are superior to him and tries to learn something from them;

A loser resents those who are superior to him and tries to find chinks in their armor.

A winner feels responsible for more than his job;

A loser says, “I only work here.”

A winner says, “There ought to be a better way to do it;”

A loser says, “That’s the way it’s always been done here.”

Winner gets more tougher preparation on getting failures by knowing his mistakes and improvising, while looser looses his/her confidence after every failure and wont try to know mistakes.

well i've read a li'l of them but thanks for so many quotes.it inspires a lot.life is not all about winning and losing.it's only about how much you enjoyed at the end.it's not necessary that if once you win,then the next time also you have to win,you can lose also and vice-versa.even after a competition no matter if you win or lose,what only matters is if you enjoyed,if you gave your 100%.it's not that winners don't experience pain.

it's all what you think of yourselves.it's all what you believe.even if you lost,and your mind says that you won,then of course you won.successes and failures are not at all permanent,means they are temporary.hope you agree and your doubt is clear.

Yep i read it in Shiv Khera book "You can Win", (maybe similiar notes i think!), i liked it and i too found it very interesting! yes life is all about winning and losing. No loser's will find out not to commit any falut by committing the mistakes. Losses can be in many ways. Practicing winning all our life will give permanent success. Being procastinated to acheive anything will lead you to be a permanent loser.

Most of the terms listed are attitudes.

Who assures that the preacticers of the positive attitude will be a winner, and negative attitudes leads to loosing.

Wining-loosing is disputable.

Well I can quote Pierre De Coubertine's views on the Olympics Games, but I would like to apply it for life too

"Olympic games is not about winning or losing, its all about having fought well", I would say that for life too

Welcome Prami, hope you're doing fine

Your life is defined by where you put your energy. A true devotee would wonder at the question you have raised because for to them, both states are alien. We are all unique. To tag us is to define this world in Black or White. Which is an extremely foolish venture.

I always doubt such proverbs. They always say something sort of true, or clever, and are meant as simple motivations. I always doubt motivational ideas. Obviously I have doubt, and that is how data such as these operates in the mind. Why does the mind need motivation? Why not understand doubt more clearly, more thoroughly?

It is nothing but optimism vs.pessimism.The poem is interesting to read.But losers are described as pessimist.It is not correct.They should be encouraged to be optimist.Moreover,losers may not always have their choice.
