When I teach Science, I try to be consistent, and not lie to them...

I value being a role model for everyone I meet. I do this, by living the best and most honest life I can. I like to show my daughter and other children I am associated with to not take things too seriously, it's only life, and things always turn out fine...if ya' don't get the joke you haven't been paying attention:)

Yes, it is very important to me. If they don't have a model from us as parents then where do they get their role models? School? Teachers? Yeh, right! They are our children, we must show them the way. I have three and I've always been open with them and honest and made it a point to keep my promises to them. I'm also careful not to make promises I can't keep. They know they can trust me and I want what's best for them and will take care of them. I also am teaching them to take care of themselves so they can make it on their own some day. That's important too!!!

I don’t seek to be a role model, but I except it as a part of human nature. Impressionable people (kids) will learn behavior that they see around them.

Because I have kids I often don’t get to finish watching a TV show or playing around on the computer, my 6 year old wants to wrestle and I must show her that she is more important than TV. I also go to her school once a month and read to her class, I want to show the kids in class than grown men like to read & spend time with kids. I am a middle school youth leader at my church, again I want teens and pre-teens to know they are valued, and I want to help them make good decisions. I also spend a great deal of time at my son’s school as a guest speaker and lunch relief for the teachers.

I don’t think its realistic to expect to be a good role model if you are not spending time with children. Kids spell love T-I-M-E.

Yes I do...a great deal. I feel that my purpose in life is to make a good example for my children and for them to follow it for their own. My kids and wife are the center of my life..not work or religion..or sports, which I do value.

Yes! I find that having a positive outlook on life helps children to understand that life is a wonderous thing to be cherished by all.
