reality. it can be defined as what is known, because what is known may be only a perception, but we think what we know is truth for as we do not have any alternative.

reality....doesn't it depend on a persons point of view? what might be reality for one may not be the reality for others. so as a third person, it is illusion. and a line does exist as every person has a different thought process.

as for questioning reality, the biggest quest has been 'who the hell is god'. it is reality for many people and a lie for others but as for truth, no one can say for sure (at least not me).

for your last and the most beautifully difficult question; in a desert, when you are very thirst and look around you see something that looks like water and you run towards it. but after reaching where you had seen water you realise its just an illusion not the truth...

this is hard, dreamer! I dunno. Can i define by what is known? Even what is known can be misleading. Looking at the ocean from the shore I would swear that at the horizon the world ends. Go past it and you'd fall off. This was believed at one time.

I find that any line I thought was between reality and illusion gets more blurry everyday. There is a reality to a rope lying on the ground but if it's night and I see it and think it's a snake I jump up! My body reacts. It's not a snake but I think it is.

Did you see "what the bleep do we know?"

I don't know if illusions reflect truth. I think they do. Maybe isn't what we perceive as being. It is certainly "real" but maybe it's more than we thought....or different than we thought.

Like your question about what life be like if all beliefs, concepts, etc. were dropped. What would life be like?

Good question. I rambled a bit but this is a tough one!!

Reality is what we make of it. Some of us live in a dream and say: Wow reality just struck me, but actually they are still in their world. I think we all see reality different, backgrounds, feelings the way you see things and so on. If I would say by what is know it would be false because I know about some things and other know about different things, so I would say no. I think experience plays a big role to. A line is what you put there I believe, some of us may have just the real world and no illusions. Truth or lies only you could see, for it is you that may have the answer but what if you don't!! What if your reality is someones illusion, so we wouldn't really know! Its all in you.

Sure!

Reality reflects illusions and illusions reflect a part of reality we want.

For me, reality is very compacted because I must live with my illusions and transform them to reality.

So, sometimes there is a jam. Dreams, forms, colors, notes, spin around me to make a new "reality" which is far from reality and close to illusions or between...

I consider that reality cannot be defined (exactly)

Reality is relative. It's what you experience. I've questioned reality, and I accept it. There's always an unknown. And there is definitely a line between illusion and reality. Illusions occur within reality, when perception is tweaked, hence tweakers.

It does. And, yes, reality is defined by what is known. The Universe is defined by the sum of what is known on the Soul plane.

It is nice to come across someone with a brain. You may find some fascinating answers in the concept of "Rational Spirituality" on the Dhaxem website. It is all just about reality!

I think that reality is defined by what is. Sometime I reflect on and question reality, them my cat jumps in my lap, which causes me to spill my hot coffee on my lap-making me jump and wince in pain. Whether that is all an illusion or not, dang, that wakes me up to 'smell the coffee.'

you will know it's reality not illusion when u get to see the consequences of u being trapped in illusion and not paying attention to your life.

Reality is something that i can sense through my 5 senses. But these 5 senses are not complete. it cannot grasp things completly so most of the time we cannot understand the reality.

It would depend who you are asking this question to. Some people believe their own illusions and think they are real when they are not. Some people are straight up and for real and don't believe that B.S. Prefer to deal with the straight forward people myself.

There are two types of "Reality"....

Perceived reality.

Literal Reality (called Existence).

"Awareness" of Reality is always perceived and defined by our limited comprehension of things seen and unseen.

Unless all unseen things reveal themselves, the "Literal Reality" of all things will remain beyond our reach.

The One Being Who truly knows "Reality" is the One who created existence from Himself.

Within God the beginning, God formed from Himself, existence with one thought...causing all existence to alltogether consist simultaneously at once...

To me, reality is the 'here and now' the way I see it. I may be looking at it thru my own perspective, but it is the way I see it, at this moment. I may change my opinion and/or my thoughts at some later date, but that is my privilege. I think reality is also changed by our own personal moods. actions, relationships, and how we see ourselves at any given moment..

Reality is what exists, what we know about reality changes, but reality itself never does.

I don't get into that kind of thinking. I let reality catch up to people. It'll personally instruct you.

Soul exists because God loves It. God is LOVE, is reality. All else exists so that Soul can learn LOVE and go Home to the Ocean of Love and Mercy.

Good Q, but "Known" can often be relative to "belief"

I majored in Philosophy,,,Gads No money in that,,,smiles.

Life according to what you believe is either,,,Real, or illusionary, and we often make the choice of what to question, or not, based on how we are experiencing either.

BTW,,, there are likely countless questions, not meant to be answered in ones lifetime, or plane of existence.

What grabbed me more however was your use of the word TRUTH.

"Truth" in its base form, is belief, faith, etc.... While "FACT" though often disputed,,, "IS" and stands no matter who believes in it. TRUTH comforts us,,,often,,,while FACT insists we challenge it, even when we "believe" things such as 1 plus 1 equal 2.
