Nothingness has no value, and everything else has a value higher than 0.

No. The only things that are better than nothing are the things that are better than nothing. No one says its better than nothing about something that is worse than nothing.
If I want sell my out dated CRT television for $50, no one would buy it. If I get it off my hands for $5, that is better than nothing. Let's say I need a new pair of shoes and someone offers me a brand new pair in exchange for the worn out ones I have. But the new ones are 3 sizes too small. So now I have something, but am worse off because I don't have shoes I can use. I was better off getting nothing.

The value of nothing is 7/8 of not very much. About what the banks pay as interest on savings.

It doesn't have to have a value for that to be true. If you know the concept ; 'Nothing' means 'no thing' and is a privative. It has NO POSITIVE meaning. It simply says 'not a thing'.
