It is quite obvious. There are many things that you can't answer with only science. How the world was created ,why animals behave in a certain manner, why death is compulsory for every living thing on this planet, etc. Think a bit. Do you think you are made only of the basic elements like iron, etc. Will you become null and void after death? This is the point where you investigate to know the TRUTH. God is Supreme and, yes watches all our moves. Unless you want to realise him you will never find his presence. He is loving, affectionate, and always cares for us. Born in this sinful world we will experience many sorrows, we may lose everything but we will never lose HIM. Remenber never think that God has forsaken you. That will never happen. If you really want to enter the Eternal, Blissful Kingdom of the Lord-the Vaikunthas read the Bhagavat-Gita.

God exists" is a metaphysical utterance that cannot be either true or false. Thus, no claim about the nature of God can have any literal significance.

The significance of God is so that we have something to believe in. Something we feel as humans can hold us up. Even if we cannot see him or hold him it gives people great comfort. we as people like the idea of something greater than us. Something more powerful, something to strive towards. We strive to be like him , we strive to be with him. I think the significance of God is too big to be ignored but I also think that it can be consuming to some and that isnt good either.

The translation2 of Surah Ikhlas (Holy Qur'an 112:1-4) is:

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only! Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him.

Surah Ikhlas is a very important Surah from the Holy Qur'an because it proclaims the Oneness (Tawhid) and Absolute nature of Divine Essence. This concept is presented in the first ayat. The second ayat declares that Allah is Eternal, i.e., He is beyond the bounds of time and space. The third ayat describes that Allah does not give birth nor is He is given birth and the last ayat declares that Allah is beyond comparison. Surah Ikhlas directly supports the first declaration (shahadah) of Islam: "There is no god but Allah". In this context, Islam is based on belief in one God (monotheism).

The excuse some people have to induce you to LET things happen instead of MAKING them happen. And the excuse many lazy or fearful people have for the same thing.
