The price we pay....

Members o0f the United Nations Security Council are considering whta to do with regard to the charges raised by the International Criminal Court against President Omar al-Bashir, president of Sudan. If they ask the ICC to hold the charges, it seems justice is surrendered in order to keep peace (security). Yet, if the ICC goes forward with its case, peace (and security) will need to be surrendered for the sake of justice. Would you sacrifice peace or justice?

Without justice, there can be no lasting peace...... and temporary peace can be more harmful in the longer run than temporary turmoil!!

I don't know anything about this case except what you tell me, but the situation as described is crying out loud that information is missing. I mean, why would peace be disrupted by justice?

People don't break peace unless they perceive injustice, or perceive themselves as desperate. So I think I'd look very closely at exactly who is the authority defining justice in this case, and ask those who would break the peace, what their problem is.

I agree with "Small" that there can be no peace with out justice. Both take sacrifice; personal and blood.

Freedom is expressed by the presence of both. To Sacrifice one, for the sake of the other, is to loose both.

it is not "your day" in case you're questioning of inviting human beings. Weddings are significant to family members. in case you rather desire to stay with this guy for something of your lifestyles, you need to settle for his family individuals. in case you refuse to have a pastor marry you, they're going to take it as an affront and dislike you from day one. i do no longer think in any gods, and if I have been getting married, i could do it the way that fluctuate into anticipated of me. faith is between the biggest motives marriages fail. possibly you mustn't even get married. This "Celtic pagan" element sounds thoroughly ridiculous. if you're going to %. a faith, it is actual a bizarre one. I assure this could reason friction.

Peace.

If Peace is held with the cost of thousands suffering without a voice, then it is not worth having.

i'd sacrifice peace. or some of it

because to have perfect peace we would have to turn our heads and look the other way at A LOT of wrong doing.

Peace is nonsense. Justice is getting rarer and rarer but is possible.
