It is being a long time since our american soldiers went to war at Iraq. Have we changed anything? Why are they still out there? What do you guys think at all?

Think of it, we as Americans are fighting wars constantly. Our young people are killed most of all. How can we fight "terrorism" successfully? First of all, one must take care of business in their own family. That family would be the United States. Within our country, we experience forest fires, tornadoes, hurricanes and HOMELESSNESS. The New Orleans catastrophe, is America's prime example. How, in good conscience, can God smile on us and bless us, if we can't take care of what is on our shores? How can we shovel monies and aids to other countries and ignore the needs of our people? By the way, we represent every race, culture and religion in the World. We are cursed until we realize that "Charity begins at home and spreads abroad." God Bless.

American has already stop to fight. They are trying to reconstruct Iraq. Those who are fighting are all Iraq people. Now all the Lamb has become lion because Saddam is gone.. The current state is because the Iraq people don't want to make peace among themselves.

If American soldiers leave Iraq, the whole world will be in danger. As long as American are there, we are safe...

There is no War as such.. Only the Iraq people are fighting against other for power...

If you are standing on train tracks and you see a train coming down the tracks, it may stop before it hits you, then again, it may not.

If you leave Iraq alone, you get a festering mess of Alciada(sp?). We went there for good reason and should follow through as best we can. Not every plan turns out as planned, but you do some good if you try.(we hope) Democracy can be a good thing. It has proved to be better than dictators in the long run.

There are 3 solutions so long because it takes to get the pastime executed (Bushspeak) Or doing the maths making an allowance for 2 elements. The expected style of insurgents/terrorists and the on a daily basis kill, it really is going to take particularly a lot less then one hundred years. Thats if each and every thing continues to be equivalent. Or the individuals get so bored stiff, like they did over Nam, and congress is so petrified of being voted out of means, they they defund the conflict. i will bypass for the finest difficulty in 2009 or 10. =============== existence is so trouble-free, yet we insist on making it complicated Confucius 551 - 479 BC =============== Peace Jim .

I agree with Giraffe. And I will add to that, everyone shouldn't believe everything they see on TV. This war was never about oil. Those people deserve to live a life without Hussein butchering everyone he can, just because! Put yourselves in their shoes, just because you don't like Bush doesn't mean that we aren't doing something good. Would you like to live under that kind of rule? I certainly wouldn't. I don't necessarily believe in everything that Bush does, but I believe that good is being done in that country. When we leave Iraq will still continue to be a very watched and torn country, it is a religious war. And always will be.

Yes.

And when are you people going to realize that the war in Iraq is not about oil...

There are a lot more things that are going on that the government does not tell you. You peace loving hippies just seem to think that everything will be fine if we pull out now and the whole world will get along. Wrong!!!

The US being in Iraq will end - our economy can't survive a real long term war effort - without creating war-like results in our own country. In my state of NC - the unemployed rate is running 40 percent or better.

It depends which war you mean. The main war that is going on at the moment seems to be a civil war. Of course, that *should* stop immediately but it probably won't. This leaves the question of whether Britain and the US should pull out and leave them to it or stay as a peacekeeping influence. Doing the former would be morally bankrupt, given our actions precipitated the civil war.

We've got a job to do. How would you feel if you were building a house and the contractors tore down your house and got the frame finished and then left?

If we left that's what we'd be doing to that country ... we ripped Sadam outta there and now we're building the frame while letting the Iraq's design their government ... this takes time, patience, and tolerance.

Quit living in a fake television ... it can all be fixed in one hour mentality ... life takes hard work. Get used to it. Those dang Hippies, taught us that we can dodge our responsibilites and fix things with ease ... Wake up ... This is life.

Should GWB's presidency continue?

This war was ill-conceived and there is a price to pay either way. Hopefully we will be kicked out of Iraq soon. Why we have to wait to be kicked out to leave, 'God' only knows! This is a religious war, let the Christians have it.

I wish G Bush is enough idiot to continue the war in Iraq and moreover maybe he is enough crazy to spread the war to Iran .. That will be the end of America and the world will be in peace..

The funny thing about people is when a subject like this comes up, everyone is an expert. They can't sort there own live out, never mind take the decision to send troops to Iraq.

I am not an expert, so I'll keep quiet now!

I will be the first to admit that it was a big stretch that put US in Iraq, but to leave now would be a mistake. We would loose the credibility that we gained back in the eyes of community of nations that we lost when we didn't follow Though with our promise in Vietnam

No war should continue.

IMO, the end product of war (other than destruction and suffering) is better human beings. B/c I see war as a form of un-natural selection.

But if it's prolonged, there aren't gonna be people left to be better human beings.

I'd like us to get out, but it's like this--you pull a school bus into a muddy ditch, you aren't going to just drive it out or tow it out fast. The bus has no business in the ditch, but you can't exactly leave it behind.

We have not changed anything except made the price of oil go higher and the Saudi's more rich.

Nope...just another Vietnam that is destroying the lives of men, women and their families. We should bring our troops home and send the Bush family instead.
