Like saying if something is not possible on earth, could it be real on some certain extent?

There's two sides to this question in my opinion:

The first side to view this is that no, not *anything* is possible, at least with the current limits of the universe (that we are aware of).

The second side to view this is indeed the most philosophical: does the world that we know really exist, is it something different than what we believe or is it even just a illusion or a dream? If not, then we cannot define any limits to what is possible, since the universe we know does not really exist, and thus saying that 'anything is possible' could at least not be proven false, so we must assume it's true.

Sorry if this was a too philosophical answer, so to shorten it, well, mostly anything is possible under the right conditions.

the answer is clearly that it is false, since it violates the law of non-contradiction..

If anything were possible then nothing is excluded

If nothing is excluded then rationality can not function.

Looked at another way, if anything is possible a square circle is possible. If a square circle is possible there is no way to distinguish between a circle and a square. Since circles and squares can be distinguished in all cases, a square circle is not possible.

Since a square circle in not possible, it is false that anything is possible.

appealing to our limited knowledge doesn't fly, because we already know of at least one thing that is not possible. That alone is all we need to show that the statement, "anything is possible" is false.

Simply truthful,

First to say something is possibel than it ' must exist'. If something does 'exist' then, it is possible to manipulate that which exists. Just because an individual doesnt know how to manipulate that which exists, doesnt mean someone doesnt know how. If it exists then it can be manipulated. if it does not exist, then it cannot be manipulated. For one cannot manipulate that which doesn't even exist.

Therefore, the word 'possible' only lies within the realm of what exists. " Anything" i s a strong word. If something is a"thing" than clearly it exists. If it did not exist, there would be no-thing to manipulate,a nd therefore it would not be possible to do something which doesn't exist to begin with. But again, if it does exist, there will always be some force of the universe capable of manipulating that which does in all actuality exist. So, to say " Anything is possible" would be true, for if it does exist, than someone/some force could act upon it and manipulate it. In other words, "possible" is just another word for " does it exist?" If it exists, than it is possible!

Everything is as it is, every moment of existence, Now!

The notion of 'possible' is for those who cannot see 'the future', which already is as it is, every moment.

A simple answer is that it is impossible to have a two-dimensional triangle with four sides. Definitionally impossible.

So, that one example is sufficient to refute the ignorant and vain saying that 'anything is possible'.

Another impossibility is for this, or any other moment, to ever be other than as it is, Now! and Now! and Now!!!

(It's up to you to understand the implications of this as regards the vain notions of 'free-will/choice'!)

'Being' is not a 'possibility', it is an actuality/knowledge.

There is a big difference between possible and probable.

Possibilities are variables on what could conceivably be given the right conditions are in place. Since the combination of conditions is literally endless, you could say that "anything" is possible.

In life, anything is possible, although little is certain.

We are not God, so we don't have the power to say what is possible and what isn't.

It is POSSIBLE that it is true but unlikely.
